Reports

Collectrium’s Report Generation functionality has gotten a major overhaul with this release. After clicking the ‘Generate Report’ in the action menu, users will see a new popup modal that lists their report templates. There are a handful of default report templates already available.

report1

Users can either add new report templates by clicking the plus button at the bottom of the popup or edit any of the listed templates by hovering over the template and accessing the ‘Actions’ menu.

report2

When adding or editting a report template, users will access the new configuration page. On this page, you can fine tune how the report should look. The header and footer can be configured, file format and layout can be chosen, and the types of object details to include can be added; all within an attractive, more intuitive interface.

report3

Once the settings are to your liking, simply click ‘Save’. This will add your report template to the list of templates.

To generate a report from a template, click on the name of the template in the template list. This will present another modal where users can input a report title. Once this is done, clicking the ‘Generate’ button will quickly create the report on the fly and download it directly to your computer. Reports are no longer generated and stored in the Collectrium sidebar. This should cut down on clutter.

Because reports are now generated and downloaded on the fly, the Reports section of the sidebar is now obsolete. Your previously saved reports will still be available until October 31 2017, but you should download any reports that need saving before this section of the app is removed later this year.

Please enjoy the new method of generating reports!

System Improvements

Reports

Yes, we know; we’ve already talked about reports. But considering Collectrium already had a form of reports generation, Reportsv2 described above is still also technically a system improvement. It’s a pretty large feature, so it doesn’t hurt to include it twice…

Bug Fixes

Many bug fixes were made this release. Notable among them:

  • A bug that was truncating Comparables Descriptions text has been fixed.
  • Users are no longer able to enter empty entries in the object Literature field.
